Your back plays a pivotal role in your life and depending on its health, may limit you from doing many activities. If you have back injuries, they can seriously hurt and it is advised to see a specialist . So taking care of your back is of great importance.
Here is a list of top tips for taking care of your back:

1. Exercise your back.

This can be done through a number of activities, which include: walking; swimming; and exercise bikes. There are more, but these three exercises are really great things to do, to strengthen your back.  You could get up earlier to give yourself time to do this.

2. Bend your knees

Whenever you go to pick something up, get into the habit of bending your knees and not your back. Make sure to keep your back straight and just use your legs to lower  yourself. There are cases where people will not be able to do this, such as digging a hole; sweeping; and health etc.

3. Avoid Twisting

Try to not twist your back as much as you can, doing this causes your disk plates in your spine to grind themselves down, causing much pain. Bending and twisting is a definite 'no-no' as well. So instead of twisting your back, try to turn your whole body instead, avoiding your back from grinding.

4. Carrying

Don't try to carry more than you're comfortable with, this sometimes isn't possible, but most of the time can be done. There is no shame in asking someone else to help you with heavy objects , just swallow your pride and get on with it.

5. Bag

When carrying things in bags, the rucksack is the best choice. Try to avoid sling bags and other similar bags that pull down to one side.
Wearing a bag too loosely will cause it to pull down on your back, causing straining. Make sure that it's secure and comfortable on you.

6. Sitting

Posture - This is important in maintaining a good back. Try to avoid slouching in chairs and hunching over, but try to sit up straight and walk upright.
Use a seat with a backrest so that you're not inclined to forfeit good posture.

7. Weight

Try to lose weight if you need to, this can put strain on your back, degenerating it quicker.
