Coffee believe it or not, is a popular addiction in the modern world today and is a fully legalised drug. Many people who drink coffee on a regular basis become addicted, knowingly and unknowingly.
It becomes a craving that's in the back of your mind willing you to go and get a coffee and although it brings you a 'high' feeling, it then drops you right down low. This is where more coffee is drank to counter the lows. If you have the will power, giving it up can be accomplished and maintained.
Is coffee really addictive?
Coffee is a very popular drink and the question is, is coffee really addictive? Its well known that coffee can help keep you awake, and after studies on coffee, people can start to rely on coffee from day to day the more they drink on a consistent basis.

How to Give up
1. Weaning
If you are a regular coffee drinker, replace one cup of coffee with a glass of water. Then leave a week (or more if your withdrawal symptoms are too much,) until you know that you can handle yourself without that extra cup of coffee. Repeat this process until you have completely weaned yourself off.
2. Grain coffee
Substitute coffee for grain coffee. Grain coffee isn't real coffee, it consists of a ground mixture of things like: nuts; grains; dried fruit, all of which you can put into a drip coffee maker.
The end result is of a similar look and taste to actual coffee. They have a variety of flavours for you to choose from so you can have the one best suited to you.
